London, United Kingdom - As a prelude to its Middle East debut, JD Malat Gallery announces its participation in this year's Abu Dhabi Art fair at Manarat Al Saadiyat, November 20-24. This significant move aligns with the gallery's mission of expanding its footprint to support its roster of emerging and established contemporary artists. The gallery has selected Andy Moses, Ed Moses Luis Olaso, Katrin Fridriks and Santiago Parra, from its 20+ international artists, to showcase in Abu Dhabi Art, BOOTH #M6.
Abu Dhabi Art is a foundational move towards the inaugural opening of JD Malat Gallery Dubai, of which will open in early 2025 in Downtown Dubai. The expansion into the UAE's vibrant cultural scene builds on the vision to promote artistic progression and cultural interaction by representing artists from a diverse range of media, from sculpture and painting to video and photography.
"I have watched the region's ever evolving and dynamic cultural landscape and we are excited to be bringing our artists to a space I hold in such high regard" said Jean-David Malat, Founder of JD Malat Gallery. "Our vision resonates deeply with the growing taste for international contemporary art among collectors within the Middle East, and it would be a privilege to see the work of the artists I represent exhibited in the culturally diverse context of Abu Dhabi".
Since its inception in Mayfair London, in 2017, JD Malat Gallery provides an opportunity for artists to gain further international acclaim, working to showcase their work in prestigious collections, museums and foundations. JD Malat Gallery also advises new and renowned collectors on building and growing their collections.
