Under 35 To Watch – PARALLEL
Past exhibition
Overview
JD Malat Gallery is excited to announce our group exhibition of 2021, 'Under 35 To Watch'. On display on the virtual exhibition platform PARALLEL, 'Under 35 To Watch' presents an array of young artistic talent in an effort to reflect the JD Malat Gallery goal to champion the world's most talented up and coming artists.
Recognised as one of London's most influential art dealers, Founder Jean-David Malat has discovered, promoted and established over a dozen formerly-unknown artists throughout his 16-year-long career. Inspired by his passion and objective, 'Under 35 To Watch' attempts to underline the connective and encompassing force of art, as well as uphold and support the creative spirit of the world's young generation of artists.
New work by the gallery's esteemed artists under the age of 35; Santiago Parra, Henrik Uldalen, Lucia Mosca, Pedro Matos, Masayoshi Nojo and Mio Yamato, will be shown collectively for the first time.
JD Malat Gallery is also excited to introduce two artists who have recently joined the gallery roster. The unparalleled Icelandic painter Georg Óskar and the 20-year-old London based painter Wesley George present their personal observations of the contemporary urban world and modes of representation through work that critiques the conventions of portraiture in art history.
