Under the title Home: Heart Of My Existence JD Malat Gallery, Dubai, presents the first solo exhibition by Ghanaian contemporary artist and African surrealist Kojo Marfo. This is Marfo's first solo show in the UAE, offering audiences a rich and moving exploration of the concept of "home" through the lens of African surrealist art.
Home: Heart Of My Existence is an artistic series of thirteen large-scale paintings in which "home" is elevated from being merely a tangible place or fixed location to a space that pulsates within us, shaped by our memories, emotions, and personal understanding. This collection represents a qualitative shift in Marfo's artistic career, reflecting the evolution of his vision of place and belonging in this world. Drawing on his personal experiences, Marfo invites art lovers to reflect on the concept of "home" and how to embody it in their own lives.
