Erin Holly has been shortlisted for the highly esteemed Ingram Prize. Read Melanie Gerlis' conversation with Ingram Collection founder Chris Ingram below via The Financial Times to find out more.
About the Ingram Prize:
Launched in 2016, The Ingram Prize is an annual purchase prize open to visual artists who are within five years of graduation from a UK-based art school. Now in its 8th year, the prize was established by The Ingram Collection to celebrate and support artists at the beginning of their professional careers. This year, Erin Holly is one of the 23 shortlisted artists who work in a range of mediums, now on view this November at Cromwell Place.
Winners' work is bought for the Ingram Collection (with a sole focus on Modern and Contemporary British art), while the shortlisted artists are offered ongoing support, including professional development advice that covers copyrighting, applying for residencies and invoicing. Works from the Ingram Collection are loaned to venues ranging from Woking coroner's court to Brasenose College.
