This week's #artistinfocus is Andy Moses. Head over to our instagram page to learn more about his life and work! 💥 'So here we are at the end of March in the middle of this Corona Virus, I wish everyone well and stay well and be well and fortunately I'm well. And this is my latest painting, so I've been painting a lot the last few weeks. It's called 'Geodynamics 1216'. I've been doing these hexagons for about the last year or so. And this the first large one that I've done in this particular palette, with the sparkly pearl, which really has a great life to it, the gold, the green, the blue, the silver. And I think of all of these paintings really as treading a line between abstraction, and not so much representations of the universe, but manifestations of the universe. I'm kind of the co-conspirator with the paint in directing it, and getting it to kind of move and dance and suggest things on both micro and macro scales. So, I just want this kind of flow of light, of energy, in this form so you've got these natural forms inside of a kind of constructed shape, so there's sort of a push-pull dynamic going on. But this hexagon shape is also something really prevalent in nature; you see it in cellular, you see it in landscape topographies, so I'm really trying to get something to suggest all these different manifestations of nature.' - Andy Moses
